CDL Endorsement Training Programs
Commercial Driving Academy (CDA) offers CDL endorsement training programs designed for licensed drivers who want to expand their qualifications and access a broader range of driving opportunities. These short-term programs provide focused instruction that supports compliance, skill development, and career advancement. Passenger Endorsement and Manual Restriction Removal training is currently available only at our Duncan, SC campus.
Whether a driver is seeking a Hazmat endorsement, Passenger endorsement, or removal of a manual transmission restriction, CDA provides structured training aligned with current federal requirements.
Why Add Endorsements to a CDL?
A Commercial Driver’s License establishes eligibility to operate commercial vehicles. Endorsements allow drivers to qualify for specialized equipment, cargo, or vehicle types that are otherwise restricted.
By earning additional endorsements, drivers can:
- Qualify for a wider range of driving positions
- Meet employer requirements for specialized roles
- Improve long-term job flexibility and security
- Expand the types of vehicles and cargo they are permitted to operate
Endorsements such as Hazmat and Passenger are commonly required for roles in fuel transport, chemical hauling, public transit, and private passenger services.
All the instructors and staff were great and they helped me go from not knowing how to drive a manual transmission tractor trailer to passing my road test and obtaining my Class A CDL on the first try. I also obtained my Entry-Level Driver Hazardous Material Training Certificate at CDA!
