Responsibilities
- Run a dedicated account delivering freight to Family Dollar stores
- Unload every load by hand at the stores using rollers, since all freight is touch freight
- Make 3 to 7 stops per load and run about three loads per week
- Start early in the morning and deliver through the rest of the day
- Drive routes across AL, GA, IN, IL, KY, NC, OH, SC, TN, VA and WV
- Work nights, weekends and holidays when they fall inside your work week
- Work with store staff and give steady, polite service at each stop
Qualifications
- Class A commercial driver license
- Physically able to handle live unloads and hand unloading
- Patience and strong customer service skills
- Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays within the work week
- Able to bring two weeks of supplies to orientation
- New drivers and students accepted, with training and upgrade required before first seat pay
- Students should bring supplies to orientation and stay out on the road until upgrade
